Game 7 - Barracudas Zürich vs. The Orioles (5th/6th place)

In the first game on Sunday, Barracudas Zürich scored a run in the first inning, then added five in the next at bat and went on to win comfortably against The Orioles to finish in fifth place.

The Orioles got a chance to open the score in the top of the first inning off of starter Livio Bundi, but the team ran itself out of the inning. With one out, Malcolm Marlin walked. Next batter Ogier Martis hit the ball into rightfield. Marlin was unable to reach second base in time and was forced out (9-6). Next batter Kevin van Veen singled, but moments later he was eliminated after a pick-off to first base by the catcher.

Barracudas then opened the score in the bottom of the first inning off of starter Justin Wanger. With one out, Ryan Hooper doubled and scored when a grounder by Eliot Berger ended in an error. Hereafter, the Swiss team got the bases loaded. A flyout in leftfield followed, but that ended in a double play, as Berger was eliminated at third base.

Barracudas added five runs in the second inning off of new pitcher Stoney van der Hulst, who gave up only two hits. A walk and fielder's choice led to runners on first and third base, then a balk led to a run. With two outs, Ryan Hooper hit a runscoring single. Hooper stole second and third base, then two walks loaded the bases. An error on a grounder by Marc Schnider resulted in the next run, as did a single by Sascha Litscher and a hit batter for Livio Bundi. Barracudas left three runners behind, but now led 6-0.

In the top of the third inning, The Orioles scored its lone run. Lead-off hitter Stijn Goddee reached on an error and moved on a sacrifice bunt. Tijani Dunlop then singled. With runners at the corners, a double-steal situation led to the run. The Orioles left three runners behind.

Barracudas added two runs in the bottom of the third inning on a 2-run single by Fritz Bär.

In the fourth inning, The Orioles again left three runners behind.

Head Coach of The Orioles is Aldric Dunlop, who started last season as Head Coach of big league-team Silicon Storks. However, during the season, Storks and Dunlop separated. Shortly thereafter, Dunlop took over the coaching at The Orioles.

Game 8 - Alcmaria Victrix vs. Quick Amersfoort (3rd/4th place)

Quick Amersfoort took an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning. Joran Berkhout led off with a walk and scored on a 2-out single by Jan-Willem Geerts, who went on to score himself on a single by Taylor Clemensia.

Quick added three runs without hitting a basehit in the second at bat. Lead-off hitter Jules Cremer was hit by a pitch and stole second base. Dakota van der Heyde then walked and a double-steal followed. Next batter Jordy Burger also walked and a run was scored when Joran Berkhout also received a walk. A pitching change followed. Tim Verbrugge, who has a long career in softball, took over and got a force play-grounder from Denzel Brooks, which also brought in the next run. A double-steal resulted in the third run.

Quick scored twice in the fourth inning to lift the lead to 7-0. Dakota van der Heyde and Jordy Burger both singled. Hereafter, Joran Berkhout and Denzel Brooks delivered runscoring singles.

A 4-run rally followed in the top of the seventh. Taylor Clemensia led off with a walk and Remian Denis doubled. A run was then scored on a grounder by Jules Cremer. After a pitching change, another run was scored when Jordy Burger reached on an error. Singles by Kevin Windster Adelina and Denzel Brooks raised the lead to 11-0.

Pastor Enrique Martínez Chavez started for Quick and retired the side in the first inning. With a 5-0 lead, Colin van Laar took over the pitching in the second. In exhibition games, a starting pitcher gets credited with the win whatever the total of innings he pitched when his team continues to lead. And so, Martínez was the winning pitcher, despite pitching only one inning.

Alcmaria Victrix was kept hitless in the first four innings. With one out in the fifth, Wessel Brocken hit the first hit for the Alkmaar-based team off of new pitcher Sem Robberse.

Alcmaria scored its lone run in the bottom of the seventh. Tommy de Zwart led off with a walk and later scored on a 2-out single by Wessel Brocken. He moved to third base when Wouter Knop doubled. But hereafter, Robberse closed with a strikeout that ended the game, which lasted 2½ hours.

Game 9 - Tex Town Tigers vs. DSS (Final)

It appeared that host Tex Town Tigers would open the score in the bottom of the first inning off of starter Juan Carlos Sulbaran. With one out, Tim van Ee reached on an error, then Ruben Hogt singled. With two outs, Thorben Dijs reached on an infield-hit, but the three runners were left behind.

DSS then scored twice in the second inning to open the score. With one out, Brian Raap singled and an error was made on a force play-grounder by Koen Halderman. After a double-steal, Leandro Anasagasti was hit by a pitch, then Diamond Silberie and Devano Pieter both singled to bring in a run.

For TTT, Gem Hooge Venterink led off the bottom of the second inning with a double, but he later stranded on third base.

DSS then added two runs in the second inning. Lead-off hitter Runai Coran reached on an error and Aldrich Guzman walked. The two moved on a sacrifice bunt by Brian Raap, then repectively scored on a grounder by Koen Halderman and a single by Leandro Anasagasti.

TTT got one run back in the bottom of the third off of Sulbaran. With one out, the bases got loaded when Jorick Kers and Thorben Dijs both walked and Thomas Maathuis singled. A grounder by Gem Hooge Venterink then brought in Kers, but two runners were left behind.

DSS scored another run in the fifth when Aldrich Guzman led off with a walk and later scored on a wild pitch.

The Haarlem-team increased the lead to 6-1 by scoring a run in the sixth. Diamond Silberie led off with a single, was awarded second base on a balk, stole third base and scored on a grounder by Koen Werkman.

TTT narrowed the deficit to 6-4 by scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth off of reliever Robyn Clara when the DSS-defense committed two errors. In the inning, the runs were scored on a single by Mikkel Oosterveld, a passed ball and a throwing error.

DSS took more distance in the top of the seventh by scoring four more runs. Reliever Thomas Maathuis walked lead-off hitter Runai Coran, who then was awarded second base on a balk. He later scored on a passed ball. With one out, pinch-hitter Ibrahin Redan singled, stole second base, then got third base on a second balk. The bases then got loaded when Daniel Heiligers and Leandro Anasagasti walked. Next batter Diamond Silberie also walked to bring in the next run. Hereafter, Christian Duinkerken took over the pitching. He saw another run being scored on a sacrifice fly by Koen Werkman, then a single by Tommy van de Sanden lifted the lead to 11-1. The bases got loaded when Tino van Erk walked, but a force out then ended the long inning.

There were a lot of changes in this game, as both teams used many players. DSS used 17 players, including four pitchers. Tex Town Tigers used 18 players, including three pitchers.
