Amsterdam opens EC Qualifier with extra inning loss

On Tuesday-afternoon, L&D Amsterdam Pirates suffered a 4-3 loss in 10 innings vs. Fortitudo Bologna (Italy) in the opening game of the European Cup Final Four Qualifier in Regensburg.
Both teams scored a run in the third inning.
In the top of the at bat, Bologna took an 1-0 lead on sac-fly, but Amsterdam came alongside moments later.
With one out, Björn Hato singled and stole second base with two outs.
He then scored the tying when Michael Duursma followed with a single.
In the tie-break, Bologna scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning.
Amsterdam could answer to this with only two runs of its own.
