NEW YORK, New York (USA) -
Dutch infielder Xander Bogaerts has hit his first Major League-homerun.
The 20-year old short stop hit his homerun on Saturday in the fifth inning with two outs and a runner on base off of Jim Miller in a 13-9 victory of the Boston Red Sox at the New York Yankees.
Mike Napoli homered twice for the BoSox and Jonny Gomes also homered.
Bogaerts hit his homerun into deep leftfield over the visitors bullpen, one of the deepest parts of Yankee Stadium.
For Boston, which leads the American League East, this was their third win in a row against the Yankees.
