TOKYO (Japan) -
Wladimir Balentien collected his 125th Run Batted In of the season on Thursday (September 26), but still trails.
When the day began, Balentien had 124 RBI's, trailing league-leader Tony Blanco, who had 125.
On Thursday, Balentien was 1-for-2 in a 4-1 loss of Yakult Swallows against Yomiuri Giants.
With a double in the first inning, Balentien gave the Swallows an 1-0 lead, but the Giants reacted with a 4-run rally in the fourth inning.
The RBI gave Balentien 125, but at the same moment Tony Blanco collected two when he went 3-for-4 with a homerun in a 5-4 win for Yokohama Bay Stars vs. Hanshin Tigers.
And so, Blanco now leads with 127 RBI's.
Both had no games scheduled on Friday, then collected no RBI's on Saturday.
Balentien went 0-for-3 with a walk in a 2-2 tie in 12 innings against Hiroshima Toyo Carp, while Blanco was 1-for-3 in a 7-2 win against the Giants.
