 Dave Daniels to coach Tex Town Tigers

Dave Daniels will be the new Head Coach of Tex Town Tigers this season.
The club from Enschede named Daniels last month as successor of Lindner de Lima, who led the team for several seasons, but resigned for personal reasons.

The last two seasons, Daniels was the Head Coach of ADO Lakers in the Dutch big league.
Last year, ADO Lakers had a tough season and finished in last place in the league.
It then played some fine games during the Play-Downs, but the team couldn't avoid to play in the Promotion/Relegation Play-Off.
In the best-of-five, ADO Lakers met Twins, the champion of the second highest league ('overgangsklasse').
The series went the distance and ADO Lakers won it 3-2 to secure its spot in the highest divisioon for this season.
Recently, in a club-meeting, it was decided in a voting by club-members that ADO Lakers will remain a big league-club and return to the highest division.
Before coming to the Netherlands in 1985, Dave Daniels played professionally (456 games) in minor league-teams of the organizations of the Washington Senators and Texas Rangers (1971-1975), including two winter leagues in Venezuela.
After being released before the start of the 1976, Daniels went on to play in the Japanese Major League in 1977 for the Hanshin Tigers and then came to Europe where he played in Italy for Nettuno (1978-1980), Bologna (1981-1982) and Anzio (1984).
In 1985, Daniels made his debut in the Dutch big league, playing for Haarlem Nicols.
He then became a playing/coach for Feyenoord in the First Division, but returned to the Dutch Majors the next year and played for Amsterdam Pirates in 1987 and 1988, where he also was the Assistant Coach and won the Dutch Championship in 1987.
Later, while coaching for Kinheim in 1996 and RCH in 1998, Daniels appeared in eight (respectively seven and one) more games on the big league-level.
Since his coaching debut with Feyenoord in 1986, Daniels coached for 10 different clubs, including nine in the big league, either as Head Coach or another coaching job.
In 1989, Daniels made his debut as Head Coach in the Dutch big league when he led HCAW-Tijgers, but he didn't finish the season.
The next year, he started as Head Coach of Haarlem Nicols, but switched to being the Assistant Coach during the season.
In 1991, he led Hoofddorp Pioniers, which then relegated.
After not having coached in 1992 and 1993, Daniels became the Assistant Coach of ADO for the 1994 season, following by a position as Hitting Coach at Neptunus in 1995 and Assistant Coach for Kinheim in 1996.
With Neptunus, Daniels won the Dutch championship and with Kinheim, he reached the Holland Series.
Next, Daniels was the Head Coach for RCH in 1998 and 1999, but he didn't complete his second season.
Hereafter, in 2000, he led Sparta-Feyenoord, which then finished in seventh place.
After a non-coaching period of three years, Daniels was named the Head Coach of Kinheim, whom he led to the Play-Offs in the 2004 season.
A year later, Kinheim and Daniels separated in mid-season.
In following years, Daniels was active in the minor leagues for the Chicago White Sox previously and initially started the 2011 season as the Head Coach of Solingen Alligators in the German Bundesliga, where he was active through May.
In October 2011, Daniels was named new Head Coach of ADO, where he was an Assistant Coach in 1994.
He then led the team from The Hague in 2012 and 2013.
In 1989, Daniels was a member of the coaching staff of the French National Team during the European Championship, in 1997, he was an Assistant Coach for the Dutch National Team during the World Port Tournament and European Championship.
