Aruban catcher Chad Tromp has made his debut at the Triple-A level.
The 20-year old Tromp played in his first game in the second highest American professional league on Thursday (September 3) when he was the starting catcher for the Louisville Bats, the Triple-A team of the Cincinnati Reds.

The Bats played at the Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A Detroit Tigers) and lost 4-3.
Tromp, who played the entire game, initially had a big part in a 3-0 lead for Louisville.
In the top of the third inning, Josciel Veras led off with a walk, then Tromp hit a single in his first Triple-A at bat.
Veras advanced to second base and later scored the first run on an one-out single by Irving Falu.
In the top of the fourth inning, Louisville added two runs.
With two outs, Hernan Iribarren singled and scored on a triple by Josciel Veras.
Moments later, Veras scored the next run when Tromp hit a double to make it 3-0.
However, in the bottom of the fifth inning, Toledo rallied for three runs to come alongside.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two outs and just after a pitching change, Toledo won when Manny Pina hit a walk-off homerun.
Chadwick Tromp, who was born in Oranjestad (Aruba), made his professional debut in 2013 when he played in nine games for the AZL Reds, the Rookie League-team of the Reds.
Last season, Tromp also played at the Rookie League-level, but also promoted to Single-A, as he played in five games for Daytona Dragons.
This season, the Aruban catcher played in 24 games for Dayton, hiting .293 (24-for-82) with eight doubles, scoring seven runs and batting in six.
Before the start of this season, Tromp briefly was with the Major League-team of the Cincinnati Reds during Spring Training.
Early March, he was an added minor league-player for an exhibition game, but didn't play.
