UVV opened the score with one run in the second inning off of Evan Simons when Mike Bazuin led off with a homerun.
Bazuin's homerun was only the second this season for UVV and the only one hit at home.
UVV's first homerun was hit 101 days ago by Dennis De Quint on April 30 at HCAW.
Bazuin's homerun also was the 74th and last homerun hit in this years regular season on the Dutch big league.
Last season, the eight big league-teams combined on 75 homeruns.
The home team then struck with four runs in the next at bat to take more distance.
Rick Kuipers led off with a single, then stole second base with one out.
After Joris van Ballegooy walked, Gilmer Lampe delivered a 2-run double.
Next, Tony Enos walked and a wild pitch put runners on second and third base.
A sacrifice fly by Mike Bazuin and single by Jamie Verheyleweghen brought in Lampe and Enos to lift the lead to 5-0.
After being retired in order in the fourth, UVV added two runs in the fifth off of new pitcher José Moreno.
With one out, Gilmer Lampe singled and scored on a double by Tony Enos.
With two outs, Jamie Verheyleweghen also singled to put runners on first and third base.
When the latter got in a rundown after a steal-attempt, Enos was able to score, while Verheyleweghen was eliminated shortly thereafter.
UVV was retired in order again in the sixth, but scored another run in the seventh off of reliever Michel Offerman.
Dennis Ribbens led off with a double, moved on a grounder and scored on a sacrifice fly by Gilmer Lampe.
UVV increased the lead to 9-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Quinn Tramm then became the new pitcher for The Hawks and was greeted with a lead-off triple by Mike Bazuin, who scored on a following grounder by Jamie Verheyleweghen.
Timo van Ancum started for UVV and gave up only one hit in the five innings he pitched.
With one out in the second, Van Ancum gave up a bunt-single to Stephen Henson, but he then retired 11 of the next 12 batters.

In the sixth inning, Jerremyh Angela took over the pitching and gave up an one-out single to Jules Peters, who then was caught stealing after a pick-off.
In the seventh, Jurjen van Zijl took the mound for UVV.
Van Zijl missed his last start a week ago due to sickness and also didn't start today.
But the righthander closed the game and threw the final three innings to earn a save.
In the seventh, he retired the side.
In the eighth, Van Zijl gave up singles to Brian Raap and Amir Daou, but the first was forced out, while the second was left behind.
In the ninth, Van Zijl gave up the lone two runs The Hawks scored today.
He walked lead-off hitter Odion Gouverneur, who then scored on a pinch-hit triple with one out by Kevin van Veen.
The latter then scored on a following single by Stephen Henson, but that was all for the team from Dordrecht.
