After Mike Groen retired the side for the third time this game in the top of the eighth, DSS lifted its lead to 6-0 by scoring twice in the bottom half of the inning.

Hereafter, Gijs van Els became HCAW's new pitcher and eliminated the next two batters, but DSS now had a commanding lead.
In the top of the ninth inning, Groen got two quick outs, then Roy Seltenrijch reached on an error, but a flyout then ended the game.
