However, Bazuin overran his base and was eliminated on the throw coming back from first base, ending the inning.
In the third, UVV left a runner on third base, but then score in the fourth.
With one out, Mike Bazuin walked, which led to a pitching change.
José Moreno took over for starter Evan Simons, then Bazuin advanced on a wild pitch.
With two outs, he also reached third base on a wild pitch, then scored on a single by Norbert Jongerius.
UVV-starter Timo van Ancum retired the first eight batters in a row.

With one out, Joris van Ballegooy singled, then Gilmer Lampe was awarded first base on catcher's interference.
The two moved on a grounder then the bases got loaded when Omar Williams walked.
After the latter was replaced by pinch-runner Rick Kuipers, Mike Bazuin delivered a 2-run single.
Moments later, Kuipers also scored, just before Bazuin was caught stealing.
Now trailing 4-0, The Hawks scored its lone run in the top of the ninth.
Odion Gouverneur and Julian Goins led off the at bat with singles.
Goins was then force out on a grounder by pinch-hitter Kevin van Veen.
Shortly hereafter, Van Veen also was forced out on a grounder by Stephen Henson, but that enabled Gouverneur to score.
Brian Raap followed with a single, but then the third force out in this at bat ended the game.
