    Regular season Asia Winter Baseball League ends

The regular season of the Asia Winter Baseball League came to a close on Thursday (December 17) with the playing of the final two games.
In the afternoon, the Chinese Taipei National Training Team won 14-8 against the Taiwan Beer CPBL Team.
In the evening, the KBO Team (South Korea) won 4-3 vs. league-leader NPB Team (Japan).

With today's results, the NPB Team finished in first team and will meet the CPBL Team in the next two Play-Off games, while the Taipei Team meets the KBO Team.
The championship-final will be played on Sunday.
Team Europe closed its participation in the third edition of the Asia Winter Baseball League on Wednesday-evening with a 7-5 loss against the professional Taiwan Beer CPBL Team.
During the season, which opened on November 28, two games rained out.
On December 10, Team Europe was to play against the Taipei Team and the KBO Team had a game scheduled against the CPBL Team.
Both games were not re-scheduled.
