Amsterdam Pirates had a strong start, scoring five runs in the first three innings.
With that, the squad not only appeared to be en route to a victory, but also securing itself of a spot in the Holland Series.
In the first at bat, Amsterdam scored three unearned runs off of starter Tom Stuifbergen.
Lead-off hitter Roelie Henrique reached on an error, then the bases got loaded when Michael Duursma and Nick Urbanus both singled.
Hereafter, Stuifbergen struckout Kenny Berkenbosch, but walked Remco Draijer, resulting in the first run.
Stuifbergen then also struckout Bas Nooij, but then gave up a 2-run single to Rashid Gerard.
Amsterdam added a run in the second inning.
Patrick Bok led off with a double, then moved on a grounder by Linoy Croes and scored on a single by Roelie Henrique to make it 4-0.
Right after giving up the single, Stuifbergen argued with Home Plate Umpire Niek Elshof regarding balls-and-strikes and was ejected.
Scott Ronnenbergh took over and struckout Duursma, then Henrique was caught stealing.
In the third, Amsterdam increased its lead to 5-0, but also left the bases loaded.
Nick Urbanus led off with a bunt-single, then advanced when a throwing error followed.
He advanced on a grounder by Kenny Berkenbosch, then scored on a single by Remco Draijer.
A single by Bas Nooij and 2-out walk for Patrick Bok loaded the bases, but a force out ended the inning, stranding three runners.
In the next at bats, Amsterdam failed to take more distance off of Ronnenbergh.
After stranding a runner on third base in the fourth, Pirates was retired in order in the fifth by the lefthander, including two strikeouts.
In the meantime, Kinheim had started to come back.
In the first at bat, Pirates had turned a double play and in the second, Kinheim left a runner on first base.
But trailing 5-0, Kinheim scored twice in the bottom of the third inning off of starter Kyle Ward.
Jasper Keijzer led off with a single, then the bases got loaded when, with one out, Kevin Moesquit and Mervin Gario also singled.
Ward then struckout Bryan Engelhardt, but Phil Ortez followed with a 2-run single that narrowed the deficit to 5-2.
Ward closed the inning by striking out Dashenko Ricardo, resulting in two stranded runners.
Kinheim made it a complete new ball game in the bottom of the fourth inning when it came alongside, scoring three unearned runs.
Jeffrey Arends led off with a single and Dudley Leonora walked, then the two advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Jasper Keijzer.
Next, Jochem Koedijk grounded to second baseman Nick Urbanus, who made a throwing error towards the plate, which not only enabled Arends, but also Leonora to score.
Hereafter, Dennis Burgersdijk took over for Kyle Ward and gave up a bunt-single to Kevin Moesquit.
Moments later, Koedijk was eliminated at the plate on a grounder towards third baseman Rashid Gerard.
With runners on first and second base, Bryan Engelhardt delivered an RBI-single that tied the score.
Burgersdijk then walked Phil Ortez, which loaded the bases.
Tom de Blok took over for Burgersdijk and closed the inning by striking out Dashenko Ricardo, but Kinheim had made it a 5-5 score.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Pirates-defense committed two more errors, but Kinheim then left two runners.
Amsterdam also stranded two runners in the sixth.
Ronnenbergh then walked two batters with one out and was relieved by Pim Walsma, who got two flyouts.
Kinheim then struck with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Hereafter, Bryan Engelhardt doubled, then Phil Ortez followed with a 2-run single to give Kinheim a 7-5 lead.
After Ortez had advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Dashenko Ricardo, Tom de Blok was relieved by Daan Hendrix, who was greeted with a runscoring double by Jeffrey Arends.
Two grounders ended the at bat, but Kinheim had turned the game its way.
Amsterdam got no more chances to erase the deficit.
After being retired in order in the seventh, pinch-hitter Jesse Aussems led off the eighth with a walk, but then a double play followed.
Walsma then gave up a single to Linoy Croes, but he stranded.
In the ninth, Michael Duursma led off with a single, then Walsma retired the next three batters to secure the win.
