The 24-year old Kieboom is the son of former Dutch big league-catcher Alswinn Kieboom, who played for Twins and HCAW and was a member of the Netherlands National Junior Team, before moving to the States.
In 2013, Spencer was on the preliminary roster of the Netherlands National Baseball Team for the World Baseball Classic.
Kieboom was rated as the top defensive catcher this year in the Carolina League (Single-A Advanced).
In his professional career, Kieboom has thrown out 41 percent of runners trying to steal.
This season, Kieboom batted .248 with 16 doubles, one triple and two homeruns for Potomac Nationals.
He scored 30 runs and batted in 26.
Kieboom was chosen for the All Star Game this year in the Carolina League.
Last year, he also played in the All Star Game, then in the South Atlantic League (Single-A).
After completion of the season, Kieboom played in the Arizona Fall League, which ended last weekend.
Playing for the Salt River Rafters in 13 games, he batted .238 with two homeruns, seven runs batted and three runs scored.
Bostick was in first place this year in the Nationals' minor league-system in stolen bases, fourth in homeruns and fourth in runs batted in.
Lee struckout 271 batters this year in 249 innings pitched.
With the addition of this trio, there are now 38 players on the 40-man roster of the Washington Nationals.
