NEW YORK, New York (USA) -
Dutch players Xander Bogaerts, Didi Gregorius and Andrelton Simmons are all finalists for this years Gold Glove Awards.
All three are playing at the short stop-position for their respective teams Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves.
On Thursday (October 29), the finalists for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award were announced by Major League Baseball.
For each defensive position, three players were named.
The Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants each have four finalists.
75 percent of the voting for the best defensive players comes from the Managers and Coaches.
They can only vote for players within their own league and are unable to vote for players from their own team.
The remaining 25 percent of the votes comes from statistics.
The winners will be announced on November 10.
In the American League, Xander Bogaerts and Didi Gregorius are both finalist for the Short Stop Gold Glove Award.
In the National League, Andrelton Simmons is a finalist for the same position.
The third finalist for the AL-short stop is Alcides Escobar of the Kansas City Royals.
Simmons got company from Brandon Crawford (San Francisco Giants) and Adeiny Hechavarria (Miami Marlins).
Simmons won the Award in the past two seasons.
Dutch outfielder Andruw Jones has won the Gold Glove ten consecutive times (1998-2007).
