Big loss for Team Europe in third game Asia Winter Baseball League

DOULIU CITY (Taiwan) -
Team Europe suffered a huge loss in its third game of the Asia Winter Baseball League.
On Monday (November 30), the European squad was crushed with a 24-3 score by the NPB Team, which is compiled from young prospects from the professional teams from Japan.
At Douliu City, the Japanese squad collected 22 basehits, which is a new league-record.
Earlier in the day, the KBO Team (South Korea) nipped the Chinese Taipei Training Team with a 6-5 score.
The Japanese squad opened the score right away in the first inning off of Italian starter Gionny Fracchiolla.
The European team got a chance of doing something back in its second at bat, but then left three runners behind.
German Lucas Dickman took over the European pitching, but Japan then rallied for nine runs to take a commanding lead.
The European Team was only able to score runs in the seventh and ninth inning.
Urving Kemp contributed with a 2-run basehit.
The European Team plays is next game on Tuesday (December 1), starting at 12 PM local time (5 AM Dutch time).
The team then meets the professional Taiwan Beer CPBL Team.
