HCAW adds depth to pitching-staff and roster
Nederlands

BUSSUM (Neth.) - With the addition of four pitchers to its roster, HCAW added some depth to its pitching-staff for next season. Seven new players are coming to Bussum, plus three from its Rookie League-team.

On the other hand, nine players left, including two who retired.

This season was one of HCAW's best in the past few years. Led by Head Coach Roy Berrevoets (who returned for one season), the team finished in fifth place in the Overall Standings with a 19-23 record. During the Play-Downs, the Bussum-squad secured fifth place by finishing in first place with a 6-3 record.

Next year, the team will be led by Roeland Henrique, who this season was the 1B Coach of the team.

The transfer-deadline ended on Tuesday, November 1, at 5 PM.

Three of the new players already have played for HCAW before, being pitchers Steven van Groningen and Sedley Karel and infielder Seb Visser. They come to Bussum after having played this season for Curaçao Neptunus, Vaessen Pioniers and DSS, respectively.

Also transfering to HCAW were catcher Sven Jongejans (UVV) and outfielder Kevin Dirksen (Vaessen Pioniers). Two new players played in a lower division this year, being righthanded pitcher Niels Harteveld (Adegeest) and outfielder Koen Werkman (RCH-Pinguïns).
