Pioniers too strong for Neptunus

ROTTERDAM (Neth.) -
Vaessen Pioniers rallied for four runs in the second and eighth inning on Saturday (July 2) and went on to register a convincing 11-3 victory against Curaçao Neptunus.
Pioniers briefly trailed 1-0 after the first inning, but then scored four runs in the second and from there, it turned the game its way.
Leading 7-3, Pioniers added four unearned runs in the eighth inning when the Neptununian defense committed four errors.
Pioniers collected 17 basehits, including three by Zerzinho Croes and Quintin De Cuba, while Kevin Dirksen homered.
Stijn van der Meer and Daniel Fernandes both registered three basehits for Neptunus, which had 12 in the game.
