 Third consecutive rainout Amsterdam Pirates against HCAW

For the third consecutive day, rain struck in the Amsterdam-area on Saturday (July 2), resulting in another cancellation in the series between L&D Amsterdam Pirates and HCAW.
On Thursday-evening, the opener of the 3-game series rained out and was re-scheduled for Friday-evening, but then again had to be cancelled and was moved to coming Tuesday-evening.
Today, the second game of the series was scheduled.
The groundscrew had put in a lot of work after the rain of the previous days and had worked for four hours today to prepare the field for the game.
They succeeded in that, but some 45 minutes before the scheduled game time (2 PM) today, another heavy rain-shower struck.
And that was too much for the field, resulting in another cancellation.
The game has been re-scheduled for coming Monday-evening.
With that, the series now will open on Sunday with the original third game to be played in Bussum, starting at 2 PM.
On Monday and Tuesday, the series then continues in Amsterdam with two evening games, starting at 7:30 PM.
