Game One - Brisbane vs. Adelaide
Both teams had a productive rally in the opening game, but it was the home team that held the lead since the third inning and went on to win 7-4. Both teams collected 10 basehits. Kyle Petty and Angus Roeger both had three hits for Adelaide.

Adelaide appeared to have a good start, as it got into scoring position right away in the top of the first inning. With one out, Travis Demeritte doubled and Kyle Petty singled to put runners on first and third base. With two outs, Petty stole second base, but then Tom Brice struckout.

In the bottom of the first inning, Brisbane opened the score off of starter Josh Tols when Bralin Jackson homered with one out. With two outs, Donald Lutz singled and stole second base, but then was left behind.

In the second inning, both teams stranded a runner in scoring position.

Adelaide then came alongside in the top of the third inning off of Jason Jarvis, who threw the first five innings for the Bandits and became the winning pitcher. With two outs, Kyle Petty singled, then scored on a following double by Stefan Welch. Adelaide left another runner in scoring position when Tom Brice struckout again.

Brisbane then rallied for four runs in the bottom of the third and that proved to be decisive. Bralin Jackson led off with a walk and advanced on a grounder. The Bandits then re-took the lead when Donald Lutz tripled, followed by a double by Mitch Nilsson. The bases got loaded when Logan Wade singled and David Sutherland walked. Two more runs were then scored on a single by TJ Bennett. The third runner also tried to score, but he was eliminated at the plate in a rundown. It gave the Bandits a 5-1 lead and led to a pitching change for Adelaide.

In the top of the fifth inning, Adelaide also staged a rally, scoring three runs to narrow the deficit to 5-4. Initially, Jason Jarvis struckout productive batters Travis Demeritte and Kyle Petty, but then gave up singles to Stefan Welch and Tom Brice. Angus Roeger followed with a 3-run homerun, but that would led to the last runs in this game for Adelaide.

Brisbane added two more insurance runs, scoring again in the sixth and eighth inning.

In the sixth, TJ Bennett led off with a homerun for the Bandits to make it 6-4.

Adelaide got a chance to do something back in the top of the seventh when Kyle Petty singled and Stefan Welch walked. But hereafter, a sacrifice bunt-attempt by Tom Brice ended in a pop-up and was caught by the catcher, then a double play ended the at bat.

Brisbane turned another double play in the top of the eighth, then scored its seventh run moment later on a throwing error.

In the top of the ninth, Brisbane-closer Ryan Searle struckout the side to seal the win for the home team.
