HCAW vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates
Amsterdam Pirates set the tone right away in the first inning and it was Nick Urbanus, who led the run-production, as he led off the game with a homerun on the third delivery by starter Sander Helmendach.
Amsterdam added four more runs in the first inning and went on to take a 13-3 lead in the seventh inning.
HCAW then avoided a mercy-rule loss, but ended up empty-handed against the league-leader and lost 14-7.
Urbanus added another homerun later in the game and also doubled and tripled, missing only the single to hit-for-the-cyle.
After Urbanus had homered, Amsterdam got the bases loaded when Michael Duursma walked, Gilmer Lampe doubled and Remco Draijer also walked.
Next batter Danny Rombley was then hit by a pitch, which led to the next run.
A sacrifice fly by Patrick Bok, single by Jesse Aussems and sac-fly by Rashid Gerard lifted the lead to 5-0.
In the second inning, Amsterdam got the bases loaded with one out, which led to a pitching change.
Marco Schel took over, retired the next two batters and Amsterdam stranded three runners.
But the Amsterdam-squad then added three runs in the third.
With one out, Rashid Gerard walked and Linoy Croes singled.
They respectively scored on a double by Nick Urbanus and a very rare sacrifice fly in the infield (caught by the first baseman) by Michael Duursma.

The eighth run was added in the fourth when Remco Draijer led off with a walk and went on to score on an error.
The second homerun in the game by Urbanus made it 9-0 in the fifth inning and with that a mercy-rule score was in sight.
HCAW then scored three runs in its fifth at bat off Kevin Heijstek.
Rossini Frolijk led off with a double, then two strikeouts followed.
Frolijk scored HCAW's first run on a pinch-hit double by Kevin Nieveld, who later scored himself on a single by Marciano Philippi.
The third run in the inning was scored thanks to a double by former Pirate Roelie Henrique, who was eliminated at third base trying to advance.
Amsterdam made it a 10-run difference by scoring four runs in the top of the seventh.
With one out, Linoy Croes doubled and scored on a triple by Nick Urbanus.
The bases got loaded when Koen Nooij and Gilmer Lampe walked, then Remco Draijer delivered a 2-run single.
After Tim Niekerk had become the new pitcher, Danny Rombley added a runscoring single to make it 13-3.
In the bottom of the seventh, Pim Walsma took over the Amsterdam-pitching, but his first delivery to Rossini Frolijk ended in a homerun.
Hereafter, the bases got loaded when Levine Gabriëls was hit by a pitch, pinch-hitter Jelle Blaauw walked and (with one out) Marciano Philippi reached on an error.
With two outs, HCAW scored a run when Vince Rooi walked, then two more runs were scored on a following single by Kevin Weijertse.
And error on a grounder by Julian Goins loaded the bases.
Walsma was replaced by Tom de Blok, who got a grounder that ended the inning, meaning three runners were left behind.
Amsterdam scored its last run in the ninth on a single by Danny Rombley, who was 3-for-5 and batted in three runs.
