Before the start of Thursday-afternoon's home game (May 5), UVV announced that Firma Pickles - Burgers & Wines has become the main-sponsor of the big league baseball-team.
Joris Visser, one of the owners, signed the agreement on the field before the game and was joined by UVV's chairman Merijn van Elsacker and treasurer Ruud van Zetten.
Before the game, Joris Visser threw the ceremonial first pitch, as was reported by Grand Slam * Stats & News.

Firma Pickles will support UVV the coming three years and in that period, the team will be known as Pickles UVV.
Firma Pickles, which specializes in hamburgers and wines, was founded in 2013.
Its two owners oriented themselves in the USA and there got acquainted with Major League Baseball.
Impressed by the atmosphere surrounding a game and the family friendly conditions, the Utrecht-based company looked for something that could connect in a similar way.
And so, they ended up at UVV.
Since its creation in 2013, Firma Pickles experienced a rapid grow and built a good name for itself.
It expanded with franchises in Schevingen, Rotterdam and The Hague, with openings ahead in Amsterdam and a second franchise in Utrecht.
