At Camelback Ranch-Glendale in Phoenix, the Los Angeles Dodgers played at home vs. Cleveland Indians and lost 8-5.

Shawn Zarraga started as designated hitter for the Dodgers. He was 1-for-2 and scored once. Kenley Jansen made his first pitching-appearance of the Spring-season.

In the first inning, Jose Ramirez (solo) and Giovanny Urshela (3-run) homered for the Indians. Trailing 5-0, Zarraga got his first at bat in the second inning and flied out.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Dodgers came back into the game. Facing new pitcher Joba Chamberlain, Rob Segedin led off with a walk and then Zarraga reached on a single. They then scored when Charlie Culberson followed with a 3-run homerun.

In the bottom of the sixth, Zarraga was replaced by a pinch-hitter.

In the top of the seventh, with the Indians leading 7-4, Kenley Jansen took the mound for the Dodgers. He gave up back-to-back doubles to Carlos Santana (ground-rule) and Giovanny Urshela, which gave the Indians an additional run. But hereafter, Jansen struckout two of the next three batters to end the lone inning he threw.

At Surprise Stadium in Surprise, the Texas Rangers hosted the San Francisco Giants. When the bottom of the ninth inning began, the Rangers trailed 5-3, but then scored three runs to win 6-5.

Jurickson Profar started at second base for the Rangers. In the second inning, trailing 2-0, Ian Desmond led off with a single, stole second base, then moved to third base on a grounder by Profar. Moments later, he scored the first run for the Rangers on a sacrifice fly by Robinson Chirinos.

In the fourth inning, with one out, Profar walked, then moved to third base on a 2-out single by Pedro Ciriaco. After the latter had stolen second base, the bases got loaded when Drew Stubbs walked, but a grounder ended the at bat.

In the sixth, Profar led off with a flyout, then was replaced when the seventh inning began.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out, the Rangers came alongside on a 2-run double by Ryan Rua, who went on to score the winning run after a pitching change on a walk-off single by Ronald Guzman.

At Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Cincinnati Reds won 8-5 in a home-game vs. a split-squad of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

In the top of the seventh inning, Calten Daal became the new second baseman for the Reds. He led off the eighth inning as a batter, but then flied out in his lone at bat in the game.

At Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in Dunedin, Ozzie Albies played briefly for the Atlanta Braves in Monday's road-game at the Toronto Blue Jays, who won 3-1.

Albies entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning as second baseman and didn't get an at bat.

At Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Jonathan Schoop was 1-for-3 for the Baltimore Orioles in a 3-0 home-loss against Minnesota Twins.

Schoop started at second base for the O's. He grounded out as lead-off hitter in the third inning. In the bottom of the sixth, after twelve batters had been retired in order, Schoop led off with a single and moved on a wild pitch, but would be left behind.

Schoop struckout in the eighth inning, then was replaced defensively in the top of the ninth inning.

At Jet Blue Park in Fort Myers, the Boston Red Sox lost 3-2 in ten innings at home vs. Tampa Bay Rays. Xander Bogaerts started at short and was 1-for-2 and also scored one of the two Boston-runs.

Boston took an 1-0 lead in the first inning when Mookie Betts led off with a homerun. Hereafter, Dustin Pedroia flied out, Bogaerts grounded out and David Ortiz flied out.

The Rays took a 2-1 lead in the fourth, but Boston came alongside in the bottom half of the inning. With one out, Bogaerts singled, then scored all the way from first base on a following single by David Ortiz to make it a 2-2 tie.

Bogaerts was replaced in the top of the fifth inning.
