 Neptunus wins big against DSS

 HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Curaçao Neptunus shutout DSS 13-0 on Thursday-evening (July 7) in the opener of their 3-game series, which will be the final one before the international break.
Neptunus collected 14 basehits in the game, including three by Gianison Boekhoudt (two doubles).
Christian Diaz scored three runs for the Rotterdam-squad.
Neptunus led 6-0 after four innings, then was held scoreless in the fifth by starter Timo van Lingen.
In the sixth, Lars Vogelaar took over and made his big league-debut by retiring the side.
In the seventh inning, Neptunus rallied for seven more runs to lift the lead to 13-0.
Diegomar Markwell went the distance for Neptunus and gave up seven basehits, including two by Mitchel Koot.
