Pioniers scores early to win against HCAW

BUSSUM (Neth.) -
Vaessen Pioniers scored four runs in the third inning and went on to win 6-3 against HCAW on Thursday-evening (July 7) in the opener of their 3-game series, which will be the final one before the international break.
Pioniers rallied for four runs on four hits in the third inning to take an early lead.
They then added only two more in the remainder of the game, but was to be enough.
Lars Huijer threw seven scoreless innings for Pioniers and earned his eighth victory.
HCAW then scored its three runs in the next two innings off of two relievers.
Sedley Karel then closed the game and earned his ninth save of the season.
