Hereafter, UVV was leading 8-4 in the seventh, but then Twins rallied for five runs to make it 9-8 in its favor.
UVV came alongside in the eighth, but in the end was left empty-handed.
UVV was off to a good start, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning off of veteran righthander Elton Koeiman, who today celebrated his 43rd birthday.
Koeiman gave up a lead-off double to Julian Rip, which was followed by a bunt-single by Jamie Verheyleweghen and a runscoring single to Berend Ruben.

In the fifth inning, UVV added two runs.
Mike Bazuin led off with a single, then scored on an one-out triple by Rick Kuipers.
That led to some reactions from Twins.
Kuipers hit the ball down the rightfield-line and 1B Umpire Jos van Eijsden had to jump out of the way of the ball.
With that, he was unable to rule whether the ball was fair or foul and so, Home Plate Umpire Edwin Louisa took over that decision and ruled that the ball was fair.
Moments later, Kuipers scored on a single by Sven Jongejans, which led to a pitching change.
Brendan Schoemaker took over from Elton Koeiman, who made some remarks while leaving the mound and was ejected.
Schoemaker retired the next two batters, but UVV was now leading 7-4.
UVV left two runners behind in the sixth inning, but added another run in the seventh when Rick Kuipers led off with a single, stole second base and scored on an one-out single by Tony Enos.
The 8-4 lead was not enough for UVV, as Twins staged a 5-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 9-8 lead.
Anthony Vrolijk led off with a single and Stijn Janssens doubled.
A run was then scored on a sacrifice fly by Shurty Tremus and a strikeout accounted for the second out.
Hereafter, Jarreau Martina singled, which led to a pitching change.
Kevin van Veen took over for Jeremy Filipek, but he gave up a runscoring single to Adrian Anthony and a 2-run double to Jeffrey Arends that made it an 8-8 score.
Arends went on to score the next run when Berry van Donselaar reached on an error.
In the top of the eighth inning, UVV made it another tie, 9-9.
Jamie Verheyleweghen then led off with a walk and later scored on a single by Mike Bazuin, but UVV was unable to re-take the lead.
The decision then fell in the bottom of the eighth inning when Anthony Vrolijk homered on the first delivery made by new pitcher Quinn Tramm.
And that gave Twins a 10-9 lead.
In the top of the ninth inning, Matthew Latta closed for Twins.
The Belgian retired the side to complete the come-from-behind victory and earn a save.
