WASHINGTON, D.C. (USA) -
Game Two of the National League Division Series between Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers was postponed to Sunday, October 9, starting at 1 PM local time.
The game was scheduled to be played on Saturday-afternoon (October 8), but was cancelled, as the northern arm of Hurricane Matthew produced rain in the Washington-area.
As more rain was expected during the day, the decision was taken to cancel the game and move it to Sunday, which was the day off in the Series.
On Sunday, the teams were scheduled to fly to Los Angeles, where Game 3 will be played on Monday.
Major League Commissioner Rob Manfred met with representatives of both teams and it was then decided to postpone the game.
On Friday, the Dodgers opened the Series with a 4-3 victory.
