Kinheim vs. De Glaskoning Twins
Four Twins-pitchers never got into real problems on Saturday in Haarlem.
The quartet gave up seven basehits with four of them coming in the first two innings.
In the last seven innings of the game, Kinheim got only three baserunners, with two of them reaching second base.
Twins opened the score in the top of the second inning off of starter Glenn Wassink.
The righthander had walked two batters in the first inning with one out, but they were left behind.
In the second, he walked lead-off hitter Chris Ge, who then stole second base, moved on an one-out grounder by Bart Janssen, then scored on a single by Bob van der Meer.
Hereafter, Twins got runners on first and third base when Jarreau Martina also singled, but he was then caught stealing to end the inning.
Kinheim left a runner on first base in the first inning off Belgian starter Cedric Desmedt, but then came alongside in the second at bat.
With one out, Oliver Severino van der Wijst singled and stole second base, then scored on a 2-out single by Chiel Berkhout.
Jasper Keijzer then also singled, but two runners were left behind.
It was to be the last inning for Kinheim in this game in which they had more than one baserunner.

Twins broke the 1-1 tie by scoring four runs with two outs in the third inning off of Wassink.
Bart Hanegraaff led off with a single, then the bases got loaded with one out when Jeffrey Arends and Berry van Donselaar both walked.
Wassink followed with a strikeout, but then gave up a 2-run double to newcomer Adrian Anthony and a 2-run single to Bart Janssen that made it 5-1.
Reggie Bomberg took over the pitching for Kinheim in the fourth and did fine.
In the fourth, lead-off hitter Jarreau Martina reached on an error, but was then eliminated in an inning-ending double play.
In the fifth, he gave up an one-out single to Berry van Donselaar, but followed with two strikeouts.
After having retired the side in the sixth, he gave up the sixth run of Twins in the seventh.
With one out, Bart Hanegraaff singled, moved on a grounder by Shurty Tremus and scored on a following double by Jeffrey Arends.
Twins added two more runs in the eighth off of Scott Ronnenbergh.
The lefthander was greeted with singles by Chris Ge and Mick Molenaar, then got the bases loaded when he walked Stijn Janssens.
A double play followed on a grounder by Bob van der Meer, but that brought in Ge.
Moments later, Molenaar scored the next run on an error.
Trailing 5-1, Kinheim got a runner on base in the bottom of the third when Jochem Koedijk singled with one out, but two grounders followed.
Desmedt then retired the side in the fourth and gave up a 2-out double to Jasper Keijzer in the fifth, who was to be the last runner for Kinheim to get into scoring position.
Anthony Vrolijk threw the sixth and seventh inning for Twins and retired the side both times.
Matthew Latta then pitched the eighth.
The Belgian also retired the side, including two strikeouts.
The ninth inning was pitched by Brendan Schoemaker, who has had some fine outings during this exhibition season as closer.
And he did so again this afternoon.
With two outs, he gave up a single by Thomas Bos, but he stranded on first base, as a following grounder ended the game.
