Curaçao Neptunus vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates
Amsterdam Pirates held an early 4-0 lead after three innings, added a run and went on to register a 5-0 shutout in Rotterdam.
For the second day in a row, the starting pitcher of Neptunus ran into problems.
On Saturday, Diegomar Markwell gave a 2-run homerun to Gilmer Lampe and a grand slam to Michael Duursma in his first two innings.
The lefthander left the mound after three innings, trailing 6-2.
Today, Orlando Yntema gave up four runs and seven basehits in the three innings he pitched.
Amsterdam Pirates opened the score with two runs in the first inning.
Linoy Croes led off with a single, then Michael Duursma was hit by a pitch.
Both scored when Gilmer Lampe followed with a double.
Lampe advanced to third base on the throw to the plate, but overran the base and was eliminated.
Danny Rombley and Kenny Berkenbosch also delivered singles in this inning, but they were left behind.
In the second inning, Pirates got the bases loaded, but left three runners behind.
With one out and Max Clarijs (fielder's choice) on first base, Koen Nooij doubled, then Michael Duursma walked with two outs.
Hereafter, the inning ended when veteran third baseman Raily Legito caught a line drive hit by Lampe.

Pirates added two runs in the third inning.
Yntema got the bases loaded quickly, as he walked Danny Rombley, Remco Draijer and Kenny Berkenbosch.
With one out, a run was scored on a grounder by Rashid Gerard, then Max Clarijs added a runscoring single to make it a 4-0 score.
In the next two innings, new pitcher Bayron Cornelisse allowed only one Amsterdam-batter to reach base.
Kyle Ward started for Amsterdam and was supported with some fine defense.
With one out in the first inning, Benjamin Dille reached on an error for Neptunus and moved to third base on a single by Raily Legito.
But hereafter, Gianison Boekhoudt grounded into a double play.
Ward retired the side in the second inning, then gave up a 2-out single to Dwayne Kemp in the third at bat.
That inning ended when Kemp was eliminated in a rundown after a pick-off.
In the fourth, Boekhoudt walked with two outs and Rien Vernooij singled, but they stranded.
Neptunus got another runner in scoring position in the sixth inning off of new pitcher Tom de Blok.
With two outs, he gave up a double to Gianison Boekhoudt, who then advanced on a wild pitch.
A walk for Rien Vernooij followed, but then Dashenko Ricardo grounded out.
In the final three innings, only one more Neptunian batter would reach base.
Amsterdam Pirates was retired in order in the sixth and seventh inning by Kenny Van Den Branden, but then added a run in the eighth.
The Belgian righthander then gave up a lead-off single to Danny Rombley, who advanced on two grounders.
After Jesse Aussems was hit by a pitch, Rashid Gerard delivered a runscoring single to make it 5-0.
Hereafter, Max Clarijs walked, but Pirates again stranded three runners, as short stop Dwayne Kemp made a great catch on a line drive by Koen Nooij to end the inning.
