Twins vs. Kinheim
After having lost the previous two games of its exhibition series against Twins, Kinheim initially again faced a deficit in today's game.
But the Haarlem-squad broke a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning and went on to win 5-3.
Veteran righthander David Bergman started for Kinheim.
In the first inning, he gave up a ground-rule double to Jarreau Martina with one out, but he stranded.
Twins then did open the score in the second at bat.
With two outs, Stijn Janssens walked, then Adrian Anthony followed with a homerun.
Anthony joined the team before last week's J.C.J. Mastenbroek Tournament and since then has been productive for his new team.
In his first game, which was the final of the tournament, he also homered.
Kinheim faced veteran Elton Koeiman and reached base in the first two innings, but was held scoreless.
Kinheim then struck with three runs in the third at bat.
Jasper Keijzer and Jochem Koedijk led off with single, but then the first was forced out at third base on a grounder by Niels van Weert.
The two moved on a wild pitch and then scored when Bryan Engelhardt homered with two outs.

The 3-2 lead was shortlived, as Twins came alongside in the bottom of the fourth inning.
With one out, former Kinheim-player Jeffrey Arends doubled, moved on a wild pitch, then scored on a 2-out single by Chris Ge.
Kinheim left a runner in scoring position in the fifth inning, then re-took the lead in the sixth off of new pitcher Anthony Vrolijk.
With one out, Oliver Severino van der Wijst doubled, then the bases got loaded when Dexter de Weert walked and Sander Paap singled.
A passed ball enabled Van der Wijst to score and put Kinheim ahead, 4-3.
The other two runners were left behind when two flyouts followed.
Kinheim added an insurance run in the seventh inning off of Ben Van Nuffel.
With two outs, Bryan Engelhardt walked and scored on a following triple by Dudley Leonora.
After giving up the run in the fourth inning, David Bergman added three fine innings.
He gave up a single to Mick Molenaar in the fifth and another one to Jarreau Martina in the sixth, but never allowed another runner to get into scoring position.
Molenaar stranded on first base and Martina was eliminated in a double play.
Bergman threw seven innings, which was the most by a pitcher during this exhibition season.
Rookie Chiel Berkhout threw the final two innings for Kinheim.
He retired the side in the eighth inning and got two quick outs in the ninth.
He then walked Jeffrey Arends and gave up a single to Berry van Donselaar.
The two got into scoring position after a wild pitch, but a flyout then ended the game and that earned Berkhout a save.
