Curaçao Neptunus vs. Orioles
Neptunus opened the score in the first inning off of former big league-pitcher Derrick Isenia.
With one out, Benjamin Dille homered, but that was to be the lone run scored by Neptunus in four innings.
Isenia gave up a 2-out single in the second inning, then retired the side in the third.
Neptunus-starter Diegomar Markwell threw the first three innings.
The lefthander gave up no hits, struckout four batters and retired the last seven batters in a row.
Berry van Driel then took over in the fourth.
He allowed two batters to reached base, but also struckout three batters.
With one out, Van Driel hit Glennet Paulo with a pitch, then gave up a 2-out single to Rik van Deursen, but they were left behind.
Newcomer Steven van Groningen (ex-HCAW) became the new pitcher for Neptunus in the fifth.
Neptunus then took more distance in the bottom of the fifth off of Henk van Heijningen, who had taken over the pitching in the fourth.
Shaldimar Daantji led off with a walk.
Hereafter, Tim van Toorn was added to the batting order as extra hitter and also walked.
Van Toorn is a player of the Unicorns Baseball Academy and was added for today's game.
Next, an error on a force play-grounder by Dwayne Kemp resulted in a run.
Van Toorn then scored on a grounder by Benjamin Dille, the MVP of last years Holland Series.
A single by Raily Legito lifted the lead to 4-0.

In the top of the sixth, the Orioles scored their first run off of Van Groningen.
Ray Winkel and Kelvin Knape led off with singles.
A double play followed on a grounder by Suri Betrian, which moved Winkel to third base and he then scored when Nigel van der Tang singled.
Neptunus rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Urving Kemp led off with a double, newcomer Steven Wharwood followed with a single and then Shaldimar Daantji singled to bring in the lead runner.
With two outs, Benjamin Dille and Raily Legito added RBI-singles to make it a 7-1 score.
Rookie Angelo Wicklert became the new pitcher for Neptunus in the top of the seventh inning.
Wicklert, who is on the roster of Neptunus' Rookie League-team Tridents, was added to the team for today's game and began with a walk for Rubinet Koko, then also walked Emersson Paula with one out and Michael Winkel with two outs.
Koko and Paula then both scored when an error was made on a force play-grounder by Michael Riekerk.
Neptunus reacted with two runs of its own in the bottom of the seventh off of new pitcher Duncan Gijsbertse.
Christian Diaz, the Best Hitter of last season in the Dutch big league, led off with a double and Rien Vernooij followed with a single.
In a double-steal situation, Diaz scored, then Vernooij went on to score on a force play-grounder by Steven Wharwood.
In the top of the eighth, Orioles narrowed the deficit to 9-5 by scoring two more runs.
With one out, Kelvin Knape and Suri Betrian walked, then were awarded the next base when Wicklert balked.
A single by Glennet Paulo and force play-grounder by Rubinet Koko then accounted for the runs in what was to be the final at bat in this game.
