At Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex @ Walt Disney World Resort, the Atlanta Braves were visited by the Washington Nationals, who won 11-1.
The Nats collected 14 basehits, including two homeruns, four doubles and one triple.
In the top of the seventh inning, with the Nationals leading 7-1 and two outs, Jhonatan Solano singled.
Hereafter, Randolph Oduber, who was added to the team earlier in the day, was inserted as pinch-hitter for Jeff Francoeur.
Oduber also singled, bringing Solano to second base.
Moments later, both scored when Chris Bostick followed with a double.
Oduber stayed in the game as the new designated hitter, then was replaced by a pinch-hitter himself in the ninth inning.
The 26-year old Oduber also played for the Nationals during Spring Training in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
Ozzie Albies played a complete game for the Braves and was 1-for-4.
He started the game as short stop, then switched to second base in the top of the eighth.
Albies grounded out in his first at bat in the first inning, then struckout in the third.
In the sixth inning, he led off with a single, moved to third base on an one-out double by Nick Swisher, but both stranded.
Albies flied out in the fourth at bat in the game in the eighth inning.
At Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie, the New York Mets hosted a split-squad of the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Mets led 6-4 after three innings, but lost 14-9.
The Cardinals collected 19 basehits.
In the bottom of the fifth, with the Cardinals leading 7-6, two outs and Kevin Plawecki (fielder's choice) on first base, Roger Bernadina was inserted as pinch-hitter for Jedd Gyorko and popped out.
Bernadina remained in the game as new rightfielder, then got his second plate appearance in the seventh inning.
With the bases loaded and one out, Bernadina hit a sacrifice fly that made it a 13-7 score.
Later in the at bat, the Mets narrowed the deficit to 13-9.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, J.C. Sulbaran became the new pitcher for the Cardinals and retired the side.
He didn't face Bernadina, who got his next at bat in the ninth off of new pitcher Miguel Socolovich and then flied out, which ended the game.
At Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, the Baltimore Orioles played at home vs. the Minnesota Twins and won 8-1.
Jonathan Schoop started at second base for Baltimore and was 1-for-3.
He led off the second inning, but then grounded out.
Schoop then again was the lead-off hitter in the fourth, but again grounded out.
In the bottom of the sixth, with the Orioles leading 4-1, Audry Perez hit a 2-run homerun to make it 6-1.
With one out, Schoop delivered a double, then was replaced by a pinch-runner.
At Jet Blue Park in Fort Myers, the Boston Red Sox lost 11-8 to the Miami Marlins in a home game.
The Marlins rallied for five runs in the third inning.
The Red Sox scored seven of their runs in the final three at bats.
Xander Bogaerts started as short stop for Boston and was 1-for-3.
He led off the second inning, but then struckout.
Bogaerts led off the fourth inning with a grounder, then singled with two outs in the sixth inning.
After reaching first base, he was replaced by a pinch-runner.
At Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim won 9-5 against a split-squad of the San Francisco Giants.
Andrelton Simmons started as short stop for the Angels and had a good outing.
He was 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
In the bottom of the second inning, with the Giants leading 3-2, Simmons led off with a double off of Jake Peavy.
He moved to third on a single by Ji-Man Choi, then scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly by Carlos Perez.
In the third inning, Simmons faced Peavy again, but this time flied out.
In the sixth inning, with the Giants now leading 5-4, Simmons led off with an infield-hit and advanced when a throwing error followed.
After moving on a flyout, Simmons again scored the tying run, this time on a grounder by Perez.
Later in the at bat, the Angels took the lead on a 2-run single by Todd Cunningham.
Simmons was replaced in the top of the seventh inning.
At Peoria Stadium in Peoria, a split-squad of the Los Angels Dodgers played against a split-squad of the Seattle Mariners and won 8-4 in ten innings.
The Dodgers scored four runs in the top of the tenth inning, highlighted by a 2-run homerun by Rob Segedin.
Shawn Zarraga started as designated hitter for the Dodgers and was 1-for-3.
He flied out in his first at bat in the second inning.
In the fourth inning, Andre Ethier and Scott Van Slyke led off for the Dodgers, but then A.J. Ellis grounded into a double play.
That brought Ethier to third base and he then scored the first Dodger-run when Zarraga reached on an error.
As this would have been the third out, Zarraga was not credited with an RBI.
In the sixth inning, with one out, Ellis singles and moved to third base when Zarraga also singled.
But both were left behind.
He was replaced by a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning.
At Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, the Cincinnati Reds played at home against a split-squad of the Seattle Mariners and lost 5-2.
In the top of the seventh inning, Calten Daal entered the game for the Reds as new short stop.
He got his lone at bat in the eighth and then led off with a grounder.
