De Glaskoning Twins vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates
Amsterdam Pirates opened the score with three runs in the second at bat off of starter Ben Van Nuffel, who made his first start of the season.
With one out, the Belgian righthander walked Kenny Berkenbosch and Jesse Aussems, then uncorked a wild pitch that resulted in runners on second and third base.
And then the scoring began, as Rashid Gerard and Linoy Croes delivered runscoring singles.
With two outs and runners on second and third base, Michael Duursma walked and then a throwing error followed that enabled Gerard to score the next run.
Amsterdam added two runs in the third inning.
With one out, Kenny Berkenbosch and Jesse Aussems both singled, then Rashid Gerard followed with another RBI-single.
Moments later, Aussems scored when a throwing error followed on a force play-grounder by Linoy Croes trying to complete a double play.
Trailing 5-0, Twins scored twice in the bottom of the third off of Kevin Heijstek.
Bart Janssen, Shurty Tremus and Nick Peels led off with singles.
With one out, Janssen was forced out at the plate on a grounder by Adrian Anthony, but then Jeffrey Arends followed with a 2-run single.
This would be the only runs scored by Twins.
In the next six innings, only five batters would reach base (three in the ninth) with only one of them hitting a basehit.

Amsterdam scored another run in the fourth inning off of new pitcher Cedric Desmedt, who completed the game.
The Belgian walked lead-off hitter Michael Duursma, then hit next batter Gilmer Lampe with a pitch.
The two moved on a sacrifice bunt by Remco Draijer, then the bases got loaded with two outs when Kenny Berkenbosch walked.
Desmedt then also walked Jesse Aussems, resulting in a run, but herefater, three runners were left behind.
After three scoreless innings, Amsterdam scored its next run in the eighth inning.
Lampe again was hit by a pitch, stole second base and went on to score on a sacrifice fly by Danny Rombley.
Amsterdam scored its final run in the ninth.
With two outs, Linoy Croes doubled and scored on a following single by Nick Urbanus to make it a 8-2 score.
Amsterdam-starter Kevin Heijstek retired the side in the fourth and fifth inning.
He then gave up a lead-off single to Adrian Anthony, which was the lone Twins-basehit in the last six innings.
Moments later, Anthony was eliminated in a double play, then Heijstek retired the side again in the seventh.
Tom de Blok took over in the eighth and walked Shurty Tremus, but was also supported with a double play.
Daan Hendrix pitched the ninth inning for Amsterdam.
He got the bases loaded when he walked Adrian Anthony, Jeffrey Arends and Berry Donselaar.
Hendrix followed with a strikeout, then the Amsterdam-defense turned its third double play in the last four innings to end the game.
