At Hammond Stadium @ CenturyLink Sports Complex in Ft. Myers, the Baltimore Orioles played at the Minnesota Twins.
The Orioles took a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning, but lost 14-5, as the Twins rallied for four runs in the second and five runs in the sixth.
Jonathan Schoop started for the Orioles at second base and was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.
His older brother Sharlon Schoop entered the game as short stop.
In the first inning, off of starter Ricky Nolasco, Joey Rickard led off with a single, but was forced out on a grounder by Ryan Flaherty.
Hereafter, Christian Walker singled.
Flaherty then scored on a double by Pedro Alvarez and Jonathan Schoop followed with an RBI-single that made it 2-0.
A sacrifice fly by Hyun-Soo Kim brought in the third run, but Schoop would strand on third base.
In the third inning, with two outs and a runner on first base, Schoop walked, but was left behind again.
In the top of the fifth, Schoop struckout.
He was then replaced in the bottom of the sixth and at the same time, Sharlon Schoop entered the game as new short stop.
He got his lone at bat in the top of the ninth inning, but grounded out.
The 28-year old Sharlon Schoop earlier played in Spring Training-games in 2010 and 2011 for the San Francisco Giants, 2012 for the Kansas City Royals and in 2014-2015 for the Orioles.
At Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim won 7-3 vs. Texas Rangers.
In this game, the two Profar-brothers played for the Rangers.
Jurickson Profar played his first complete game as short stop and he was later joined by his younger brother Juremi Profar at third base.
Jurickson popped in the first and third inning.
He then was in the batter's box with two outs in the fifth inning, but the at bat ended when runner Delino DeShields was caught stealing.
He then led off the sixth inning and struckout.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Juremi Profar entered the game sa new third baseman.
Jurickson then struckout again in the eighth, then Juremi got his lone at bat in the ninth and flied out.
The 20-year old Juremi Profar made his Spring Training-debut last year, playing in one game for the Rangers.
Was Profar the starting short stop for the Rangers, Andrelton Simmons started at short for the Angels and was 1-for-3.
With runners on second and third base and two outs in the first inning, Simmons grounded out.
In the fourth inning, off of Derek Holland, with one out, Simmons singled, but he was then eliminated at second base trying to stretch it into a double.
Simmons flied out in the sixth, then was replaced in the top of the seventh.
At Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, the Houston Astros won 7-6 in a home-game vs. the Atlanta Braves.
In the top of the seventh inning, with the Astros leading 7-4, Erick Aybar doubled with one out for the Braves and was replaced by Ozzie Albies as pinch-runner.
With two outs, he scored on a single by Reid Brignac.
Albies remained in the game as new second baseman, then grounded out in his lone at bat in the ninth.
At Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, the New York Mets shutout the Miami Marlins, 11-0 on 15 basehits.
Roger Bernadina started in rightfield for the Mets and was 0-for-3.
He lined out in the second inning, then struckout in the fourth and grounded out in the fifth.
Bernadina was replaced in the sixth inning.
At George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, the New York Yankees lost 3-0 to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Didi Gregorius started as short stop for the Yankees and was 1-for-3.
He led off the third ining with a single, but was then eliminated in a double play.
Gregorius flied out in the fifth and popped out in the seventh inning.
He was then replaced in the top of the eighth.
At Peoria Stadium in Peoria, the Cincinnati Reds visited the Seattle Mariners and won 5-3.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Calten Daal entered the game as new short stop.
He then singled in his first at bat in the fifth nning with two outs, but was left behind.
