Rookie Alex Marcussen started for DSS and he initially got some fine defensive support.
With one out in the first inning, he gave up a single to Boyd Tuhumury, but then a double play followed.
In the second, Rossini Frolijk led off for HCAW with a single, but hereafter, the DSS-defense turned another double play.

Another runner stranded in scoring position in the sixth.
But an insurance run was then added in the seventh off of new pitcher Mark van Deursen.
He gave up a lead-off single to Gianni Frolijk, who then scored on a following double by Roelie Henrique to make it 4-0.
Henrique then moved to third on a grounder, but the DSS-defense then turned its third double play to end the at bat.
In the eighth, HCAW got a chance to do some more scoring.
Max Ploegstra became the new pitcher for DSS and was greeted with a lead-off single by Rossini Frolijk.
