LOS ANGELES, California (USA) -
Closer Kenley Jansen has signed a new one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the club announced on Friday (January 15).
With that, the righthander avoided arbitration.
The Dodgers also reached deals with infielder Justin Turner, catcher Yasmani Grandal, reliever Luis Avilan, reliever Chris Hatcher and outfielder Scott Van Slyke.

It was reported that Jansen's deal is worth 10.65 million dollar, which would be a raise of more than 3 million dollar opposed to his contract of last year.
The 28-year old Curaçao-born Jansen earned 36 saves last season and was 2-1 with a 2.41 ERA.
The pitcher of the Netherlands National Team appeared in 54 games, throwing 52 1/3 innings.
Kenley Jansen has played his entire career with the Dodgers.
Initially a catcher, he was converted into a pitcher in 2009, which was his fifth professional season.
In March of that year, he participated with the Netherlands Team as a catcher in the World Baseball Classic.
Later, in September, he was back on the Netherlands-roster for the World Championship, but then as a pitcher.
In 2013, Jansen was added to the Orange Team for the semi-final game of the World Baseball Classic, but didn't got into action.
Jansen made his Major League-debut in 2010 and then appeared in 25 games, earning four saves.
After being credited with five saves in 2011, Jansen earned 25 or more saves in each of the next four years.
That was highlighted by his 44 saves in 2014.
In his six Major League-seasons, Jansen pitched in 338 games.
He now has earned 142 saves in his career and is 16-11 with a 2.28 ERA.
In 340 innings, Jansen struckout 528 batters.
