In the bottom of the sixth inning, with the score at 1-1 and two outs, Bogaerts singled, then was forced out.
Bogaerts was replaced in the top of the eighth inning and in that at bat, the Yankees rallied for five runs.

He then stole second base and advanced when a throwing error, but he then stranded on third base.
In the fifth, with runners on first and second base and one out, Bernadina struckout.
In the seventh, Bernadina led off with his second single in the game and then was replaced by a pinch-runner.
At Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, the Detroit Tigers hosted the Atlanta Braves and won 10-6.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Ozzie Albies entered the game and became the new second baseman for the Braves.
In the top of the eighth inning, with the Tigers leading 10-2, the Braves scored three runs.
With one out, a sacrifice fly by Ender Inciarte accounted for the first run.
That was followed by an RBI-double by Dansby Swanson and a runscoring single by Nick Swisher.
Hereafter, Albies got his lone at bat in the game and grounded out.
At Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in Dunedin, the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles played a 6-6 in a game that was ended after nine innings.
Jonathan Schoop started at second base for the visiting Orioles and was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
In the top of the first inning, with one out, Ryan Flaherty walked, then Schoop followed with a single that brought him to third base.
Moments later, Flaherty scored the first Baltimore-run on a single by Pedro Alvarez.
In the top of the third, with the Orioles trailing 2-1, Joey Rickard and Flaherty began the inning with singles.
Hereafter, Schoop also singled again to bring in Rickard with the tying run.
Schoop was eliminated later in the at bat in an inning-ending double play.
In the top of the fifth, Flaherty led off with a walk, but this time, Schoop grounded into a double play himself.
Schoop was then replaced in the bottom of the seventh inning.
At Surprise Stadium in Surprise, the Texas Rangers played at home against the Cleveland Indians and won 5-4.
Jurickson Profar went 1-for-2 and batted in a run for the Rangers.
In the bottom of the fifth, with the Rangers leading 2-1, one out and a runner on first base, Profar entered the game as pinch-hitter for designated hitter Prince Fielder.
Profar grounded out, but thereafter, Joey Gallo followed with a 2-run homerun to make it 4-1.
In the bottom of the seventh, James Jones led off for Texas with a walk and advanced on a grounder by Nomar Mazara.
He then scored an insurance run when Profar followed with a single.
A this run was the difference in the score.
