Neptunus then opened the score with one run in the top of the fourth inning.
With one out, Daniel Fernandes walked, moved on a 2-out single by Shadrach Meulens and scored on a following double by Shaldimar Daantji.
Meulens also tried to score, but he was eliminated at the plate.
In the bottom of the fourth, it was Kinheim's turn to leave a runner behind in third base.
With one out, Dudley Leonora doubled and moved on a grounder, but then stranded.
Kinheim then appeared the score the tying run in the bottom of the fifth inning, but that ended in an out and a protest.
With two outs, Jasper Keijzer and Julio Hernandez singled.
Hereafter, Kevin Moesquit also singled and Keijzer was waved home.
Catcher Shadrach Meulens was standing near the plate, while the ball was coming in from centerfield.
It was reported that there was contact between the sliding Keijzer and Meulens.
A safe-call was made, the ball went by Meulens and moments later, Keijzer was tagged after passing the plate.
A discussion followed between Neptunus' Head Coach Evert-Jan 't Hoen and Home Plate Umpire Winfried Berkvens.
The umpiring crew then got together and shortly thereafter, Keijzer was called out.
That led to a reaction from Kinheim, which filed a protest, stating it was a case of obstruction.
When Keijzer was called out, it ended the inning.
In the sixth, both teams stranded runners in scoring position.
In the top of the sixth, with two outs, Daniel Fernandes singled and Steven Wharwood walked, but the ining ended when the latter was picked off on first base.
In the bottom of the sixth, off of new pitcher Kevin Kelly, Dudley Leonora walked with one out, moved on a passed ball, but stranded.
Kinheim then scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning off of new pitcher Berry van Driel.
With one out, Jochem Koedijk singled and with two outs, Julio Hernandez did the same.
Kevin Moesquit followed with a 2-run double, but was eliminated himself at third base trying to stretch it into a triple.
But Kinheim was now leading 2-1.
Neptunus came alongside in the eighth inning.
Figuera walked Stijn van der Meer and Raily Legito and was relieved by Reggie Bomberg.
Legito was then forced out on a grounder by Gianison Boekhoudt.
That brought Van der Meer to third base and he then scored the tying run on a following single by Daniel Fernandes.
He became the third runner in this game to be eliminated while trying to take an extra base.
While Van der Meer scored and Boekhoudt moved to third base, Fernandes tried to advance to second base, but was eliminated there.
A strikeout ended the at bat.
In the ninth, both teams again got baserunners, but were unable to score.
For Neptunus, Shaldimar Daantji singled with one out and stole second base, then Urving Kemp walked.
The inning ended when Dwayne Kemp grounded into a double play.
For Kinheim, off of new pitcher Loek van Mil, lead-off hitter Sander Paap reached on an error, but was picked off by the catcher.
Hereafter, Van Mil struckout the next two batters, meaning extra innings followed.
In the top of the tenth inning, Neptunus re-took the lead, scoring three runs.
Tie-break runners Urving Kemp (2nd base) and Dwayne Kemp (1st base) advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Stijn van der Meer.
A force play was then set up by walking Raily Legito intentionally.
Next batter Gianison Boekhoudt grounded out, but that brought in the lead runner.
The second tie-break runner then scored when a throwing error followed on a grounder by Daniel Fernandes.
Moments later, Legito went on to score the next run on a wild pitch to make it 5-2.
In the bottom of the tenth inning, Oliver van der Wijst (2nd base) and Jochem Koedijk (1st base) were the tie-break runners.
Jasper Keijzer then singled down the rightfield-line.
The runners advanced, the ball was thrown back to the infield, then a throwing error towards the plate followed, where Van der Wijst scored.
There were some arguments following this situation, as some say that Van der Wijst was tagged out before reaching the plate.
Others say, he was tagged with the glove, while the catcher was having the ball in his other hand.
Anyway, Van der Wijst scored and Kinheim now had runners on second and third base with one out.
Moments later, Koedijk scored the next run on a sacrifice fly by Kevin Moesquit to make it a 5-4 score, while Keijzer moved to third base.
With that, the tying run was at third base, while powerhitter Bryan Engelhardt was the batter.
But he grounded out to the pitcher and that ended the game.
