Before the game, Wim van den Hurk, the President of the European Assocation of Professional Baseball, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
In the top of the first inning, Lukas Jahn, the lead-off hitter of Regensburg, put himself into the ELB-recordbooks, as he recorded the first basehit in the European league.
He advanced when Maik Ehmcke walked with two outs, but both were left behind.
Brno then scored the first ELB-run in the bottom of the first inning off of starter and Dutch National Team-pitcher Mike Bolsenbroek.
With one out, Adam Hajtmar reached on an error and moved to second base on a passed ball with two outs.
Moments later, Hajtmar scored the first run on a single by Martin Schneider.
Regensburg came alongside in the top of the fourth inning off of American starter Jason Jarvis.
With one out, Bong-kyu Kang singled, moved on a wild pitch and a grounder, then scored the tying run when David Dinski reached on an error.
Brno re-took the lead in the sixth off of Jonathan Eisenhuth, who had come on in the fourth inning.
With one out, Adam Hajtmar singled and scored his second run in the game when Martin Schneider delivered a double with two outs.
Brno added two runs in the eighth off of Bradley Merrit.
With one out, Jakub Hajtmar singled, advanced on an error and stole third base.
His brother Adam Hajtmar then was hit by a pitch and Přemek Chroust followed with a runscoring single.
Hajtmar then scored his third run on a basesloaded walk for Petr Čech to make it 4-1.

Brno opens Euro League Baseball with victory
BRNO (Czech Republic) -
Draci Brno recorded a historic victory on Tuesday-evening (April 19), as the Czech squad won 4-1 against Buchbinder Regensburg Legionäre (Germany) in the first-ever game of the inaugural season of Euro League Baseball.
Four teams are participating in this European league, which was founded last year.
Besides Brno and Regensburg, the other teams are Munich-Haar Disciples (also Germany) and Amsterdam Baseball (Netherlands).
