Trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the eighth, DSS got its first two batters on base off of Jonah Van Bemmelen, who became the new pitcher for Pioniers.
He gave up a lead-off single to Ryan Miner, then made an error while attempting a pick-off and walked next batter Joffrey Heus.
Van Bemmelen was then relieved by Maickel Rietel, who with this entered the game in a save-situation.
Rietel began with a strikeout, then an infield-fly and grounder ended the inning.
