The young righthander walked lead-off hitter Quintin De Cuba, then gave up a double to Kevin Dirksen.
With two outs, both scored when Brennan Nijhof tripled.
Pioniers added two more runs in the third at bat.
The Hoofddorp-squad got the bases loaded when Van de Ven walked Max Draijer and Mervin Gario and Austin Weymouth followed with a single.
Hereafter, Quintin De Cuba also walked and that resulted in a run and a pitching change.
Van de Ven was relieved by Keiji Uezono, who had just returned from Japan after a brief stay there.
He gave up a sacrifice fly to Kevin Dirksen, which made it a 4-0 score.
The Japanese righthander then followed with a strikeout, got the bases loaded when he walked Glenn Bakker, but three runners stranded when a flyout closed the at bat.
In the remainder of the game, Pioniers got into scoring position only two more times.
In the fourth, Uezono began with two strikeouts, then walked Mervin Gario and gave up a single to Austin Weymouth, but a flyout ended the inning.
Uezono then retired the side in the next three innings.
Matthew Latta took over for Uezono in the eighth inning.
With two outs, the Belgian gave up a double to Glenn Bakker, but he also stranded.
In the ninth, Brian Raap led off with a walk for Pioniers, but this time, a double play and flyout followed.
Pioniers-starter Nick Keur was supported with a double play in the third inning, then saw two runners being forced out on second base in the next inning.
The lefthander gave up a run in the fifth at bat.
He walked Christopher Ge, who then stole second base.
Stijn Janssens then walked and following double by Bob van der Meer accounted for a run and made it 4-1.
With two outs, Bart Hanegraaff walked to load the bases, but the three runners were left behind.
Twins got some baserunners in the remainder of the game, but didn't get into scoring position anymore.
In the seventh inning, Jonatan Isenia took over for Keur.
He walked Bob van der Meer, but he was caught stealing.
Another walk followed for Shurty Tremus, but the Pioniers-defense then turned a double play.
In the eighth inning, Maickel Rietel retired the side of Twins, as did closer Sedley Karel in the ninth.
With that, Karel earned his league-leading seventh save of the season.
