Towards the end of February, one week before the start of the exhibition season, Berrevoets became the Head Coach.
It became clear back then that Berrevoets would lead the team for only one season.
After HCAW played its last game in the Play-Downs on August 28, Berrevoets stepped down as coach.
He will continue to be active for the club, coaching the so-called 'ReserveReserves', one of the lower teams of the club, compiled mostly of former big league-players.
This year, he combined coaching this team with the main squad.
In the regular season, HCAW finished in fifth place, which meant that the team continued the season in the Play-Downs.
In this 9-game, 4-team pool, HCAW finished in first place with a 6-3 record, meaning the team ended the season in fifth place overall.
This year, his first with HCAW, the 58-year old Henrique was the Assistant Coach of Berrevoets.
After last season, Henrique's son Roelie Henrique transfered from L&D Amsterdam Pirates to Bussum.
In his first year with HCAW, Henrique had a fine season, as he led the team in hitting (.353), slugging (.494), runs scored (33), basehits (60), doubles (11), triples (5), total bases (84) and stolen bases (21) and was second in on-base percentage (.422).
In 2013, Henrique Senior had been the 1B Coach of Amsterdam Pirates in a coaching-staff that was led by Sidney de Jong.
It will mark the first time that Henrique will be active as Head Coach in the highest Dutch league.
In the past, from 2001 on, Henrique coached several youth-teams of Amsterdam Pirates.
Hereafter, in 2008-2011, he was a member of the coaching-staff of the Rookie League-team of Amsterdam, whom he also led as Head Coach.
After his lone year with the main squad, Henrique returned to youth-coaching with Amsterdam Marshals.
Last year and this year, Henrique was one of the coaches of the Netherlands Big League Team (Little League) that won the European title both times.
In the upcoming weeks, Henrique and HCAW will sit around the table to fill in his coaching-staff for next season.
