The 21-year old, Rotterdam-born, Misja Harcksen signed a professional contract with the Dodgers in December 2013. He made his professional debut in 2014 when he played for the AZL Dodgers in the Arizona League at the Rookie League-level. In his first season, Harcksen pitched in seven games (two starts) and was 0-0 with a 4.91 ERA. In eleven innings, the righthander struckout five batters, walked four and gave up 14 basehits and nine runs.

Last year, Harcksen started the season again with the AZL Dodgers. He appeared in ten games as a reliever, was 1-0 and lowered his ERA to 1.46. In 12 1/3 inning, he struckout 18 batters, walked only two and gave up eleven basehits and only four runs. In August, Harcksen was assigned to Ogden Raptors, another team of the Dodgers on the Rookie League-level, playing in the Pioneer League. For Ogden, Harcksen pitched in eight games (also all in relief), was 0-0, but had a high 7.71 ERA. He gave up 20 hits and 12 runs in 11 2/3 inning, striking out nine batters.

This year, Harcksen initially was on the roster of Ogden Raptors in the Pioneer League, which opened its season last Friday (June 17). However, on June 20, it was announced that Harcksen was assigned to the AZL Dodgers in the Arizona League, which opens its season on Tuesday (June 21). And so, he soon will begin his third professional season in the organization of the Dodgers.

Misja Harcksen made his debut in the Dutch big league during the 2013 season, pitching for Neptunus. He then appeared in two games (one start) and was 1-0, striking out two batters in eight innings.

In 2014, Harcksen pitched in eight games (five starts, one complete) for Neptunus, before leaving to the USA to make his professional debut. In those eight games, Harcksen was 5-0 with an 1.59 ERA. He struckout 22 batters and walked eleven in 34 innings, giving up 23 basehits. Last year, after completion of his professional season, Harcksen was with Neptunus during the Dutch postseason, but then didn't pitch for the Rotterdam-squad.
