Pirates outhit, but rallies to win against Kinheim

AMSTERDAM (Neth.) -
L&D Amsterdam Pirates recorded a convincing 8-1 victory against Kinheim on Saturday (August 20) to recover from Thursday's loss in the opening game of the series.
Amsterdam was outhit 8-7 by Kinheim, but struck in the middle innings.
After three scoreless innings, Amsterdam scored one run in the fourth.
The team then rallied for six runs in the fifth inning on only two basehits, which were runscoring singles by Remco Draijer (one run) and Nick Urbanus (two runs).
Robin Schel went the distance for Pirates and allowed Kinheim to get into scoring position only once.
That resulted in the lone he gave up in the sixth inning.
In the other eight innings, no runner got beyond first base, while Schel was supported with two double plays.
