HCAW vs. De Glaskoning Twins
HCAW decided the game, which was mostly played in drizzling rain, in the middle innings, as the Bussum-squad scored in the fourth and sixth at bat.
HCAW got into scoring position right away in the first inning off of Keiji Uezono.
Roelie Henrique led off with a single and moved on a sacrifice bunt by Boyd Tuhumury, but he stranded.
In the second, Kevin Weijgertse singled with one out, but then Twins turned a double play.
And in the third, lead-off hitter Jelle Blaauw reached on an error, but was caught stealing.
Lefthander Jim Ploeger started for HCAW.
He retired the side in the first inning, then saw Twins get into scoring position in the next at bat.
With one out, Ploeger walked Berry van Donselaar and gave up a single to Anthony Vrolijk with two outs, but they were left behind.
Twins then got more closer to a run in the third inning when it got the bases loaded.
With two outs, Christopher Ge singled, then Adrian Anthony and Jeffrey Arends both walked.
But Twins failed to support its starting pitcher with a run, as a flyout followed and three runners were left behind.
After Twins had left another runner in scoring position in the top of the fourth, HCAW opened the score in its half of the fourth.
Boyd Tuhumury and Vince Rooi led off with singles, then the bases got loaded when Rossini Frolijk walked.
Uezono followed with a strikeout, but hereafter, a force out on a grounder by Kevin Weijgertse enabled Tuhumury to score.

In the top of the fifth, Twins came close to the tying run, but several things went wrong for the Oosterhout-team.
Jarreau Martina led off with a single.
A sacrifice bunt attempt by next batter Christopher Ge then failed and ended in a force out on second base.
Hereafter, Adrian Anthony folllowed with a walk, then the two runners advanced on a grounder by Jeffrey Arends.
The inning then ended when Ge was caught stealing trying to steal the plate.
In the sixth, with one out, Ploeger hit Shurty Tremus with a pitch.
Ploeger was then relieved by Giovanni Tensen, who saw Tremus move from first to third base on a wild pitch, but he then closed with two strikeouts.
HCAW doubled its lead in the sixth inning off of new pitcher Brendan Schoemaker.
He walked lead-off hitter Vince Rooi, who then moved on a wild pitch and scored on a following double by Rossini Frolijk.
A grounder by Kevin Nieveld moved Frolijk to third base, but he stranded there when two grounders ended the inning.
In the top of the eighth inning, Twins cut the deficit in half, but failed to add more runs.
Adrian Anthony led off with a walk, then Jeffrey Arends was hit by a pitch, which led to a pitching change.
Gijs van Els took over and was greeted with a runscoring single by Berry van Donselaar.
Van Els followed with a strikeout, then Van Donselaar's pinch-runner Nick Peels was forced out, but that also brought Arends to third base.
He stranded there, as a pop-fly ended the at bat.
Twins got another chance to turn the game its way in the top of the ninth inning.
Tim Niekerk became the new pitcher for HCAW.
He walked Stijn Janssens, who moved on a grounder.
Janssens was unable to advance when an error was made on a grounder by Christopher Ge.
With two runners on base, former HCAW-player Adrian Anthony popped out and his infield-fly accounted for the second out.
Moments later, Janssens and Ge advanced on a wild pitch.
To set up a force play, Jeffrey Arends was walked intentionally, but Niekerk then closed the inning and the game with a strikeout.
