 UVV strikes late to win against HCAW

 VLEUTEN (Neth.) -
Pickles UVV faced a quick deficit, but scored eight runs from the seventh inning on to win 8-3 against HCAW in a make-up game on Monday-evening (August 22).
The game was originally scheduled for Sunday, but then rained out.
HCAW scored a run in the first and second inning, but also stranded five runners in these at bats.
UVV was held scoreless in the first five innings by rookie Moreno Vork, but then struck hereafter off of reliever Jim Ploeger.
UVV scored twice in the sixth, then added three runs in the seventh on a baseclearing, 3-run double by Steven van Reem.
UVV scored three more runs in the eighth on four hits to take more distance.
UVV collected 14 basehits, including five by Tony Enos, three of them being a double.
