DSS vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates
Facing starter Mike Groen, Amsterdam Pirates took a quick 2-0 lead, scoring twice in the first at bat.
Nick Urbanus led off with a double, then moved on a grounder.
Hereafter, Gilmer Lampe was hit by a pitch and stole second base.
That was followed by a throwing error, enabling Urbanus to score the first run.
Moments later, Lampe stole third base and scored on a grounder by Danny Rombley.
DSS came alongside in the second inning off of starter Kyle Ward.
The lefthander gave up a lead-off single to Mitchell Koot, then walked Seb Visser and Ruben Prins to load the bases.
Hereafter, Sven van der Sanden grounded into a double play, but that led to a run, as dit a following single by Menno Lenting.
From the fourth inning on, Amsterdam Pirates definitively turned the game its way and scored at least once in each of the next six innings.
In total, the team scored nine runs to take a comfortable lead.
In the fourth, Danny Rombley singled with one out and scored the go-ahead run on a 2-out double by Kenny Berkenbosch.
The latter then scored when next batter Jesse Aussems reached on an error.

Amsterdam added a run in the fifth when Nick Urbanus doubled with one out, advanced on a wild pitch and score on a single by Michael Duursma.
Two runs were then scored in the sixth.
Remco Draijer led off with a double and scored on a following single by Kenny Berkenbosch, who later scored on a sacrifice fly by Rashid Gerard.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Gerard, who was the Amsterdam-catcher, had to leave the game with an injury.
DSS-batter Mitchell Koot then fouled off a pitch that hit Gerard, but at the same time, it was ruled catcher's interference.
That meant that Koot was awarded first base, but he stranded there, as Kyle Ward struckout the next three batters after Max Clarijs had taken over the catching.
In the seventh, Michael Duursma led off with a double, was awarded third base on a balk, then scored on a single by Gilmer Lampe.
Now trailing 8-2, DSS got one run back in the bottom of the seventh off of new pitcher Pim Walsma.
He began with a strikeout, but then walked Joffrey Heus, who later advanced on a passed ball and a single by Melvin Perdue.
A throwing error led to the run, but Amsterdam answered with two runs of its own in the top of the eighth.
Max Clarijs then led off with a double and scored on a 2-out double by Michael Duursma, who later scored on a single by Danny Rombley.
In the bottom of the eighth, it was the turn of DSS to score twice.
Ryan Miner and Mitchell Koot then walked and the bases got loaded when Sven van der Sanden also walked with two outs.
Menno Lenting followed with a runscoring single, then rookie Tristan Kim also walked to make it a 10-5 score.
With the bases stil loaded and two outs, Daan Hendrix took over for Pim Walsma in what now had become a save-situation.
He got a foul-out from Melvin Perdue that ended the inning.
Hendrix retired the side in the ninth (two strikeouts) to earn the save.
In the top of the ninth, Pirates had score its eleventh run off of closer Kevin Geestman.
Jesse Aussems led off with a double and later scored on a 2-out single by Michael Duursma.
