HOOFDDORP (Neth.) -
Kinheim nipped Vaessen Pioniers 1-0 on Saturday-afternoon (June 25) to record its second win in two days against the Hoofddorp-squad, which had won its first six games in the second half of the regular season.
On Friday-evening, Kinheim won 3-1 to end the 12-game winning streak of Pioniers and then got a fine outing from starter Tom Stuifbergen.
Today, Venezuelan Luis Figuera Roman went the distance for Kinheim.
The righthander struckout 13 batters and gave up only three basehits in his first complete game in the Dutch big league.
The lone run was scored in the eighth inning on a single by Bryan Engelhardt.
