Kutno second finalist in London
Nederlands

LONDON, England (Great Britain) - Stal Kutno is the second finalist in the Federations Cup Qualifier in London. Like Borgerhout Squirrels (Belgium), the Polish squad also reached the final without playing themselves on Saturday (June 25). Kutno had its day off in the event, but qualified based on other results.

On the final day of the preliminary round in London, Borgerhout Squirrels won 11-10 against Sofia Blues (Bulgaria). In the late afternoon, London Mets won with an 8-6 score vs. Atletico Alexandria (Romania).

And that created a 3-way tie between London, Sofia and Kutno. As the head-to-head results between the teams concerned also ended in a tie, the Team Quality Balance was the next tie-breaker. In this formula, the runs scored are divided by the offensive innings played (A), while the runs given up are divided by the defensive innings played (B) in the head-to-head games played by the teams concerned. B is then subtracted from A and the order than determines the final ranking. This was in favor of Kutno, which therefore become the second finalist.
