      Sant Boi wins Federations Cup Qualifier

 SANT BOI DE LLOBREGAT (Spain) -
Host Sant Boi won 6-1 against Southampton Mustangs (Great Britain) on Saturday (June 25) in the final of the Federations Cup Qualifier.
With the win, the Spanish spot promoted to the Federations Cup.
In that event, which closes on Sunday with the final, the countries of the two teams that finish in fifth and sixth place today will relegate to a Qualifier.
Sant Boi also won the three individual awards.
Edison Valerio was named Most Valuable Player.
The Best Pitcher Award went to Eric Izquierdo, while Miguel Catalán was the Best Hitter with a .583 average.

1. Sant Boi (Spain), 2. Southampton Mustangs (Great Britain), 3. Therwil Flyers (Switzerland), 4. Barons Wrocław (Poland), 5. Diving Ducks (Austria), 6. Ishido Botosani (Romania).
