 Convincing win Amsterdam Pirates against UVV

L&D Amsterdam Pirates won 8-1 against UVV on Saturday (March 26) to register its fifth exhibition victory.

The game was played at the site of Knickerbockers in Soest, as the field of UVV is not yet available due to maintenance.
During this exhibition season, the Knickerbockers also hosted several games of Theo Meijer Quick Amersfoort, whose field also is not yet available to play on.
The regular season opens on Thursday, April 14.

UVV vs. L&D Amsterdam Pirates
The game went underway with two instead of the three appointed umpires.
However, the crew was completed during the game, as the missing umpire had travelled to the site of UVV instead of to Soest, where the game was played today.
Amsterdam Pirates scored two unearned runs off of starter Timo van Ancum, then added two in the fourth at bat off of José Moreno.
UVV, which didn't get much scoring opportunities, scored its lone run in the eighth inning off of Tom de Blok, thanks to a 2-out, RBI-single by rookie Tim Veraghtert.
While both teams batted and played defensively in eight innings, UVV played an additional inning in defense with short stop Tony Enos being the pitcher.
