Neptunus wins comfortable thanks to 6th inning rally
Nederlands

ROTTERDAM (Neth.) - Curaçao Neptunus won with a comfortable 16-2 score on Saturday (March 26) against De Glaskoning Twins. Neptunus led 6-2 after three innings, but decided the game with a 7-run rally in the sixth inning.

A week ago, Neptunus was on Curaçao where it played and practiced under great weather conditons of around 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit). Today, it was almost 14 degrees (57) when the game went underway in Rotterdam. But, the weather was fine and not as cold as in previous days.

Neptunus was scheduled to return home from Curaçao on Tuesday-morning, but spent a day longer on the island. When the team was at the airport, mechanical problems with the plane forced to the cancellation of the flight, as equipment had to be flown in. And so, the squad flew home on Tuesday-evening and arrived home on Wednesday-morning.

The regular season opens on Thursday, April 14.
